The ICL Battery Plant Will Make People Who Are Already Sick Even Worse

The pic on the right is a map that is included in the brand new Strategic Land Use Plan adopted by the City's Planning Commission in February 2025. This map shows CHILDHOOD ASTHMA CLUSTERS. And, as you can see, it's worst in the North of St. Louis. The White star is the planned location of ICL battery plant.

The process to approve this project was kept hidden from the residents of St. Louis for a reason. We aim to expose the corruption and keep ICL from harming our community and our environment. Join us in advocating for justice against corporate pollution and environmental racism in North St. Louis.

As you can see we don't need to be adding to the level of pollution in North St. Louis. Kids there already have enough to deal with.

So called economic development professionals and local politicians will tell you we need investment in the most underserved areas of the city.

This is true.

We do need investment.

That's not what this ICL pollution factory is.

The only investment ICL is making is in itself

ICL is not paying what it owes to St. Louis

**ICL is getting a 90% tax abatement for 10 years on personal property worth $80 Million. And a 15 year tax abatement on real estate taxes.

**ICL has no promise to offer any jobs to neighborhood folk who will get all of the pollution from the plant.

ICL will make pollution, and leave destruction

**Some community investment comes with strings, this money comes with ropes.
